Stop adfarm.mediaplex.com Popup - Remove adfarm.mediaplex.com Redirect

There are many computer users complaining that the adfarm.mediaplex.com pop-up annoys them a lot:

I have the adfarm.mediaplex.com on my computer and I don't know how to wipe it off. My bank hasn't been letting me login and they said I was infected so I looked at my Chrome history and saw the adfarm URL. From what I've seen on the internet this is somehow associated with eBay? I went there once a few months ago. First time in years. Don't plan to do that again.

Can I get some help with getting adfarm.mediaplex.com cleaned off my system? What is this URL 'adfarm.mediaplex.com......'? Every time I click a link of ebay.co.in in some site, the link takes me to this stupid site and nothing is displayed. It is a spyware or what? Has anyone else also experienced this?
