Description of portal.net 

portal.net is a malicious browser extension which can be regarded as adware. This website is created by the cyber criminals to make profits. Once the computer is infected with portal.net, it will change the browser setting replace the default homepage and new tab. portal.net can affect all the common used the browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer. Step 5: All the infection associated files listed below need to be removed:

C:\Windows\Temp\<random>.exe
%temp%\<random>.exe
C:\Program Files\<random>
