A family member was using the computer and a popup appeared titled Microsoft Firewall Warning (the address was called av-warn) claiming that our address and ip were compromised and that we're supposed to call priority Microsoft Windows Support. The number given was 844 338 9209.

Av-warn.com Pop-up Alert is an adware mainly created by the cyber criminals to make profits through cheating the computer users about the computer security. Once the computer is infected with Av-warn.com, it will change the browser setting such as default homepage, search engine and new tab. When you open the browser, it will pop up to hijack your webpage automatically without your permission. Av-warn.com can affect Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer web browsers.
