Delete Windows Version Installer Thoroughly: Removal Method

I constantly get this pop-up of a windows version installer. Windows Version Installer is looking really fishy...So I constantly get this pop-up of a windows version installer, and I really think it looks fishy. I'm thinking it might be a virus. Is this the case? Any help is appreciated.

Description of Windows Version Installer


Windows Version Installer is a malicious pop up which also can be regarded as a type of adware. This adware is created by the cyber criminals to scare the users with false warning message. This adware aims to promote some products or service with malicious intents. Once your computer is infected with Windows Version Installer, it will change the computer setting and start up items. When you boot the computer, it will pop up a message as the picture as below:

Step 3: Open Control Panel in Start menu and search for Folder Options. When you’re in Folder Options window, please click on its View tab, tick Show hidden files and folders and non-tick Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) and then press OK.


Step 4: Go to the Registry Editor and remove all the infection registry entries listed here:

(Steps: Hit Win+R keys and then type regedit in Run box to search)

Step 5: All the infection associated files listed below need to be removed:

C:\Windows\Temp\<random>.exe
%temp%\<random>.exe
C:\Program Files\<random>
